Vagus Nerve

Function and Benefits of Stimulating the Vagus Nerve

The vagus nerve is an essential nerve that connects the brain to various vital organs such as the heart, lungs, and digestive tract. Vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) through electrical impulses has been found to have therapeutic benefits for a range of medical conditions. Currently vagus nerve stimulation has been shown to treat migraine, epilepsy, depression, rheumatoid arthritis, and other chronic conditions.  Our research is the first step towards developing a novel solution to address conditions with unmet needs.
