Microcurrent is a safe and effective delivery of low-level electrical stimulation. ClearUP is a Class II medical device with FDA approval for over-the-counter use. It is intended for adults 18+ years of age experiencing symptoms of nasal and sinus inflammation, such as sinus pain, pressure, sinus headaches, and congestion due to cold, flu, or allergies. ClearUP has been clinically validated for safety and effectiveness with users 18 and older. The hand holding the device completes the electrical circuit, therefore, ClearUP must be self-administered and not applied to another person. Please only use as directed.

While many users experience sinus pain relief after the first use (74% report relief), the most significant symptom reduction typically occurs with regular use. For best results, we recommend using the device consistently 2-4 times a day for 2-4 weeks, followed by as-needed use. Each 5-minute treatment can provide up to 6 hours of relief. ClearUP works best when incorporated into your daily routine—the more you use it, the more consistent the relief.

ClearUP may arrive with a partial charge. Before first use, fully charge the device with the provided charger.

1. Turn the device on and select the Comfort Level you desire. We recommend starting your first treatment at Level 1 and changing at your preference. The difference in Comfort Levels does not impact effectiveness.

2. Start on the outside of your cheekbone. Place the steel tip on your face using mild pressure. Glide the tip very slowly inward along the cheek toward the nose. Stop gliding when unit vibrates. Try not to lift the steel tip off of the face when gliding. Make sure your fingers are in contact with the metal plating on the device at all times during treatment.

Hold the tip on the treatment point until the vibration stops. The device is also transmitting microcurrent to this point. After a few seconds ClearUP will stop vibrating, prompting you to resume gliding it along the designated areas. It is normal for treatment points to vary between each person, and even each treatment. 3. Repeat. Treat both sides of the face for 2.5 min, then concentrate on areas of pain.

ClearUP has only been studied when applied to the cheek, nose, and browbone area. The recommended treatment area and frequency was used in our clinical trials, is FDA approved, and has been deemed safe and effective.

Treatment points are areas on the skin where the device detects optimal locations to target nerve fibers and help alleviate symptoms of inflammation. The vibration you feel indicates that the device has found one of these treatment points. It’s important to note that the vibration doesn’t necessarily correspond to areas of visible congestion or pain, but rather signals the best places to focus treatment. The number and location of treatment points can vary from person to person and even between treatments. For best results, treat the entire sinus area for 5 minutes, then focus on the specific areas where you feel the most discomfort.

ClearUP may detect treatment points in other areas due to the device detecting where it can easily pass microcurrent through the skin. However, ClearUP is only FDA approved for treatments in the sinus area.

ClearUP is intended to treat symptoms of nasal and sinus inflammation including congestion, sinus pain, sinus headaches, and sinus pressure.

ClearUP has been shown to be clinically effective for treating congestion and can help with your symptoms even if you do not suffer from sinus pain, and vice versa.

It's important to only use the USB-C charger provided. ClearUP is powered by a lithium battery, which is rechargeable using the accompanying USB-C charger.

You should charge the device prior to first use and as necessary thereafter. With regular use, a single charge can typically last 1-3 weeks. ClearUP will be disabled while it's charging. Be sure to use only the charger that came with the device packaging. Other chargers are not authorized and may damage the device. If you ever misplace your charger, you can find a replacement charger here

The device will indicate it needs to be charged when the battery light slowly blinks orange. It will slowly blink green during charging, and become solid green once fully charged. Please see the User Guide for full charging instructions.
